Zenfone 3 Zoom at CES 2017 – coming Q1 2017?

Asus has already stated that they are showing up at CES 2017 in a big way. They haven’t divulged details about any new Zenfone 3 models, but they have hinted at a Zenfone AR which will be Google Project Tango certified. In other words, it will be an AR capable smartphone.

So what about the Zenfone 3 Zoom? Last year at CES 2016, Asus took the wraps of the unique Zenfone Zoom which has a unique design and camera functionality. A recent rumor is suggesting that in fact there is a Zenfone 3 Zoom and it’s coming soon. The question we have is whether there will be two more Zenfone 3 models or is the Zenfone 3 Zoom this rumored Zenfone AR model. There isn’t long to wait!

The rumor comes out of an anonymous tipster who suggests the Zenfone 3 Zoom will have dual rear cameras, with one of them being a telephoto lens which boasts more than a 3X optical zoom from the first generation model. Rumored processor is a Snapdragon 821 which would make sense.

The Zenfone AR, which we still wonder about, is said to be Google DayDream certified and will support Google Tango. Details are sparse, but there may be a 2K display, dual speakers, along with other top end specs.
