ZUK Edge is only the second smartphone to feature a screen-to-body ratio exceeding 85%

ZUK Edge comes very close to the Xiaomi Mi Mix, but we’re not going to be standing here making comparisons of both phones, because the latest one covers a lot of things for smartphone enthusiasts. Starting off with the screen, ZUK Edge sports a 5.5-inch screen and boasts a very thin bezel. This thin bezel is what has allowed the phone to feature a screen-to-body ratio of 86.4 percent and that is extremely impressive.

The only downside to this approach is that it will make the phone’s screen more exposed to outside elements so if you do manage to get your hands on the ZUK Edge, make absolutely sure that you are able to get your hands on a very durable case otherwise the screen could shatter without a moment’s notice. In terms of hardware, ZUK Edge is no less than a modern-day flagship as you get a Snapdragon 821 and 6GB of RAM present inside. There are two models that will be officially available to purchase later and the only difference between them is the amount of RAM. The base model will feature 4GB of RAM, while the highest spec’d out version will come with 6GB.

According to FoneArena, the smartphone is also running Android Nougat 7.0, and combine that with the impressive hardware present underneath, ZUK Edge is definitely Daydream ready. There is a 13MP shooter at the rear side, and an 8MP camera at the front. Sadly, a flagship like this does not sport a hefty battery capacity, as there’s only a 3,100mAh cell present underneath. However, the handset does provide support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0, so you’ll be able to charge the battery at a faster pace and never have to think about battery life twice.

ZUK Edge will be available on January 1, and will come in the following color models and retail prices:

  • Ceramic White and Titanium Black
  • 4GB RAM: $330 (2299 CNY)
  • 6GB RAM: $360 (2499 CNY)
